After 62 years, the KGK Group has

under his masterful guidance. It all began in Jaipur (India) in 1905 when the
Kothari family started mining colored gemstones and diamonds. Today, KGK is a
preferred conglomerate that covers the entire spectrum of mining, sourcing,
manufacturing, distributing, and retailing colored gemstone and diamond
jewelry. Philanthropist Navrattan Kothari steered the company away from gemstone trading and into the
manufacture of diamonds and precious stones. As of today, KGK has manufacturing

Sanjay Kothari, the KGK Group's
Vice Chairman, is based in Hong Kong and oversees the century-old company's

There have been 30 years where he has

project he took on for the organization was to create diamond manufacturing in
Mumbai. This led to the creation of numerous new businesses, such as
international sales and marketing as well as jewelry manufacture as well as

Mr. Sandeep Kothari
Managing Director – KGK Group
As the Group Managing Director of the
global KGK
Group, Mr. Sandeep Kothari is responsible for overseeing the
company's mining, sourcing, manufacturing, and distribution of colored stones,
diamonds, and jewelry for over a century, as well as the company's expansion
into other industries, such as real estate, education, and healthcare.
Sandeep Kothari, a fourth-generation
entrepreneur and the youngest son of the KGK Family, began
his diamond training at the age of 18 in Mumbai, straight after completing his
secondary schooling, in diamond's main functions including end-to-end
integrated processes of the diamond pipeline. In 1992, he became the Managing
Director of the century-old family business of Gems and jewelry.
His group responsibilities include
strategic diamond infrastructure investments, tactical buyouts, and joint
ventures, rough diamond procurement and processing, relationships with miners,
and diamond marketing throughout Europe, Russia, Israel, the United States, and
the Indian subcontinent. While working for more than 20 years in the diamond
industry, his extensive knowledge has allowed him to establish and expand
state-of-the-art infrastructure in India, South Africa, and Botswana. His
successful initiatives include the development of reliable supplier
partnerships with corporations like De Beers, Alrosa, Dominion Diamonds, Rio
Tinto Diamonds, and Sodiam, amongst many others. A vertically integrated
mining-to-brands company, the KGK Group has activities in 16 countries
across Asia, North and South America, Europe, Africa, and Australia.
