The story originated in 1905 with the transaction of gemstones throughout India and Burma. In 1960’s, KGK headed by Mr. Navrattan Kothari placed itself in major international trade centers becoming one of the prominent traders of gemstones in the region. Mr. Navrattan Kothari & the group expanded its trade in the 1970s by moving from trading of colored gemstones to manufacturing of sparkling diamonds and today it has developed manufacturing units in India, South Africa, Russia & Botswana. In 1997, KGK spearheaded by Mr. Navrattan Kothari became an authorized bulk purchaser of rough diamonds by being awarded Sight holder status by De Beers. In the late 1990’s, KGK expanded further into fine jewelry manufacturing & currently has units in India, China, USA, Hong Kong & Thailand.

The fine jewelry brand 'Entice' was initiated by KGK group as envisioned by Mr. Navrattan Kothari at the turn of the millennium in 2004 in Hong Kong. Following a huge success, ‘Entice’ was launched in India in 2009. Entice currently has 6 individual boutiques in Hong Kong and India (Jaipur, Mumbai, New Delhi & Bengaluru).

Mr. Navrattan Kothari, Chairman, KGK Group has been managing the group for over 50 years and under his guidance KGK has turned into a world-class business with state of the art setup. Under the able guidance of Mr. Navrattan Kothari, the KGK group has extended far and wide. What started with trading of colored gemstones has now attained great heights with Mr. Navrattan Kothari’s enthusiasm, visualization and persistence. After setting benchmarks in merchandising of diamond and gemstones, and then manufacturing of gems and jewelry, the group’s recent foray into trading under the astute guidance of his son, Mr Sanjay Kothari, with its brand ‘Entice’ is yet another breakthrough attained by the group.

Mr. Navrattan Kothari symbolizes all the characteristics of navratnas (nine gems) reigning the world. By the time he grew young, his grandfather Sh. Ghisi Lalji Kothari and father Sh. Keshri Malji Kothari had become icons in jewelry business. Triumph could have come easily to him by virtue of his rich inheritance, but he chose to march through the path less covered. He learnt the chains of his family business the hard way from grass root level. Apart from the renowned surname, he left everything at his home in Jaipur on his first professional venture to Chennai.
